How it works

One call or form gets your project in front of a deck builder who works where you live.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us the address and the job: a new deck, composite boards, a repair or full replacement, stairs and railings, or a roof or pergola.

  2. We connect you with a local company

We send your call or request to an independent deck builder who serves that part of the Gallatin Valley.

  3. The company handles the job

They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Bozeman Deck Builders is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

Montana has no trade license for deck builders. Construction contractors with employees must register with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, which is a registration, not a test of skill. Inside Bozeman and Belgrade, the city building department issues deck permits; outside town, ask who has jurisdiction for your parcel. Before you sign, ask the builder for their state registration, proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance, who will handle any permit, and a written quote that spells out footing depth, materials and warranty.
